Little bit about myself
I am Arti and I come from a healthcare background. I have spent the last ten years of my life in various health organizations.
I am also the one with fine motor skills and an artistic hand which also complies very well with my name Arti. I was raised in the heart-throbbing city of New Delhi in India, where I experienced moments of celebration and mixed emotions with my beloved family and friends.
My Inspiration
How it all started?
Handicrafts have always been my after-work therapy. The interest got instilled in me during my early childhood when I used to make greeting cards and presents for my family and friends on every occasion. During my wedding, I prepared customized wedding favors for all guests and received many compliments for them. This inspired me to take my creative acumen to the next level and consider becoming a Creative Entrepreneur.
After moving to Canada, I traveled a ton of places from the Atlantic to the the Pacific. I also traveled to a few places in America to satiate my travel appetite. I cherished all types of art and natural beauty that Canada has to offer. I visited local stores to learn about the Canadian lifestyle and chatted with wonderful people on my journey. After learning this art, I wanted to incorporate those designs and art into my work through personalized ideas.
I have also been missing the local 'desi' stuff, roadside 'chaats', and celebrations that people used to have back home. Whenever I visit my hometown, I cherish those finer details in culture, food, clothes, architecture, languages, and emotions, so much more than any time before in my life.
Craft Bulb blends the ideas of the West with the East. Although nothing can replace our desi connection and evoke those good feelings and nostalgia, this initiative of personalization takes us one step closer and helps us to connect with our roots while connecting with the beauty of the West.
